It seems as of late our friends in the UK have been getting a lockdown on the Spiritual Jazz scene with a number of projects and mixes that reach straight for your soul. Today guitarist-composer Greg Sanders brings us his 14-member “spiritual jazz ensemble” straight from London entitled Teotima. As they prepare to release Counting the Ways—Teotima’s debut album—on November 25th, we are excited to be premiering the video for “Orange Lamps.”

Orange Lamps

While the entire album finds these talented musicians taking on everything from American Funk to West African grooves, “Orange Lamps” is an exceptional tune that transports your mind with an easy and captivating groove for the full 6:43. Written & arranged by Ellie Rose Rusbridge & Greg Sanders, the track was recorded at London’s Fishmarket Studios from March 7-10th of 2013 with the entire album notably being engineered and mixed by the masterful Nostalgia 77.
