Everyone knows the original version and hopefully the version before that. From it’s debut in 1962 off Herbie’s Takin Off  record  “Watermelon Man” has since been recorded over 200 times by numerous artists from hop-hop to latin pop, and is probably one of the more substantial standards of them all, and off one of the most innovative records of our time. With that said, we’re really digging this remix by Jesse Fischer and Sly5thave brought to you in celebration of Herbie Hancock’s Head Hunters 40 Year Anniversary.  Be at the show, Dec. 2nd at Shapeshifter Lab.

Produced, arranged, and orchestrated by Jesse Fischer and Sly5thAve.
