Gun Hill features actor, writer, and activist Larenz Tate who stars as both Bird and Trane, identical twins who live on opposite sides of the law. Terence Blanchard had this to say about the film, its director, and Larenz Tate:

“I am so excited that Gun Hill is being rebroadcast on BET this Saturday, July 12th.  Director Reggie Rock Bythewood has really tapped into the common struggles shared by so many  young men today, Should  I go down a ‘good’ path or a ‘bad’ path? And can I be redeemed if  I do bad?

Larenz Tate is an admirable actor who  does an amazing job at conveying the mix of emotions facing Bird and Trane, I wrote the music as a way to advance their struggles with morality, fatherhood and love. It is no coincidence that they are named for Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker and John ‘Trane’ Coltrane, two modern jazz geniuses who also struggled in life. This is a powerful story that will resonate with many young men and I am hopeful that audiences will respond to ‘Gun Hill.’

‘Gun Hill’ is a very unique action drama that creatively keeps you on the edge of your seat. The twist and turns are as sophisticated as the subtle homage paid to a couple of jazz greats. This TV action drama is rare and a must see
