We’re going back to school from December 2nd through December 4th for the Revive Music Festival at Berklee College of Music! The festivities are set to kick off with trumpeter and Berklee alumnus Igmar Thomas live at Wally’s Cafe on December 2nd from 9:30 PM to 2 AM. Thomas will then be leading the Revive Big Band at Cafe 939 for two sets at 7 PM and 9 PM. Those unable to make it out to Boston can tune in to WBGO-FM to catch the Revive Big Band’s later set. WBGO’s checkoutjazz.org will also be streaming the later set online. To end things on a high note, The Revive Music Festival is proud to present Vulnerable: A Marvin Gaye Tribute. The tribute features an all-star band comprising of Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Bilal, Aloe Blacc and Chris Turner performing music from Marvin Gaye’s Vulnerable LP.
