Saxophonist Adison Evans‘ name may not be familiar to you, but there’s a good chance you’ve heard her play. A graduate of Juilliard, she quickly went to to play with such high profile artists as Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, Terence Blanchard, Benny Golson and Maynard Ferguson, among others. This is leaving out the huge pop artists she has played behind, including Trisha Yearwood and Nicki Minaj. She also played extensively with Beyoncé live during her 2013 Superbowl performance, the “Mrs Carter Show World Tour” and the “On The Run” Tour with Jay-Z, and in the studio on her chart-topping record “Beyoncé” and on many of her music videos and HBO specials.
To give an idea of how multi-talented she is, not only is she working full time as a saxophonist, she also finds time to host her cooking show “Adi’s Jazz Kitchen,” where she features musical guests, interviews and creates recipes.
