A few months ago, Fader released Kenneth Whalum III‘s gorgeous track “Ghost Town,” a part of his upcoming project, Through Hell and High Water. The saxophonist, singer, and producer has recorded and toured with artists like Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean, Maxwell, D’Angelo, and Beyonce over the years, but has been carving his own space in the jazz world since dropping his first album, To Those Who Believe. The album debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz charts and featured guest appearances by Robert Glasper (piano), Derrick Hodge (bass), and Chris Dave (drums) from the Grammy-winning group, Robert Glasper Experiment, along with rapper Common, and Kenneth’s own father, Dr. Kenneth Whalum Jr. Now, join Whalum for a special engagement on Friday, May 20 at Rockwood Music Hall, following a Meet & Greet at the Moscot store (108 Orchard St). Entry to the show is free, with Whalum and his band kicking things off at 8pm.
