West-coast readers can catch pianist, producer and beat-maestro Mark de Clive-Lowe this Thursday, June 16th at L.A.’s Grand Star Jazz Club. MdCL’s forthcoming hit is the first in a long series of CHURCH parties/concerts that the pianist/producer will be hosting this summer. All those who have attended a CHURCH event can attest the the non-stop breakneck thumping frequencies that emanate from the stage whenever MdCL graces his gear. This Thursday, Mark de Clive-Lowe will be joined by two renowned producers, 14KT and Stro for a live beat set — peep this here video for a little taste of what’s to come. Also on the slated to perform at CHURCH are DJ Day, SWARVY with a live band, and SEANO. In preparation for this Thursday’s CHURCH event, MdCL, 14KT and Stro all got into the studio a couple of weeks ago and vibed for a couple hours. The end result: a few videos running around their respective social media accounts from the nastiness that ensued and hours upon hours of material that we’re all hoping will grace our speakers one day. We’re lucky enough to get three takes from those completely improvised sessions courtesy of MdCL himself. Scroll down and listen to Stro + 14KT + Mark de Clive-Lowe’s live in-studio sessions.
