Fresh off their wild success at DC JazzFest, Igmar Thomas and the Revive Big Band are back and ready for more. This time, catch the group at Pittsburgh Jazzlive International Festival – presented by Citizens Bank and produced by Revive Music – this Saturday, June 25th. Featuring DJ Raydar Ellis, the set is sure to bring the transformative music that Thomas and RBB are known for, pushing the definition of big band beyond a bygone era, bringing old and new sounds together to create a singular experience meticulously crafted by the bandleader, Igmar Thomas. With its constantly shifting lineup of musicians, the Big Band serves as a hub for the next generation of jazz greats, lending itself to distinctive performances shaped by these revolving combinations of sound. To top it all off, DJ Pete Rock, who is considered one of the most influential DJ’s in hip hop and has produced, remixed and toured for over 25 years with icons like Roy Ayers to Kanye West, will be hosting the post-show afterparty, spinning sets late into the night – only accessible to RBB ticket-holders.
