If you’ve been sleeping on Adam Turchin, then this is the day you get woke with the title track to his forthcoming record Manifest Destiny. Featuring the heaviest of heavy-hitters, “Manifest Destiny” showcases the combined talents of Terrace Martin on vocoder, Rose Gold on vocals, and Robert “Sput” Searight behind the kit — we weren’t joking about the heavy-hitters part. Turchin’s newest track also enlists the help of bassist Jon Smith, trombonist JP Floyd, Koof Umoren on trumpet, SIR on french horn, and Dominic King providing additional vocal backgrounds.

Accompanied by motion graphic art by Sergio Sosa, the changes in background color help to accent the subtle changes in mood throughout the song. Never really straying too far from the original mood and harmonic center of the opening segments of the tune, “Manifest Destiny” proves to be the picture perfect definition example to the term “method in the madness.” By not straying too far from its tonal center, Turchin and company are really able to delve deep and explore every corner of the song. Look down below and tune into the title track of Adam Turchin’s forthcoming Manifest Destiniy. Head over to Adam Turchin’s bandcamp to pre-order the album.
