Zac Burgenbauch and Josh Engel of rising L.A. based electro-soul and future beats collective Endless Waltz team with singer Kajo to deliver their debut single “One Last Time.” The intoxicating jam captures the laidback soul and surf of the left coast while placing a spotlight on the tight musicianship that has secured their place in its rising class of sonic disruptors. Burgenbauch’s seductive guitar is steadied by Engel’s serpentine bass and Julian Le‘s boss synth. Kajo’s atmospheric vocal is the thread that ties it all together. Four years after its inception as a rough guitar sketch, “One Last Time” is a top-notch arrangement that bodes well for the future of Endless Waltz.

This song began at a house in North Hills in January of 2013 with a laptop, a cheap microphone, and a few guitar harmonics. Over the next 4 years, the song evolved across various bedrooms in Los Angeles featuring the collaborative synth layers of Julian Le (Jhene Aiko, Anderson Paak.), drums/production of Brandon Combs (Mark De Clive Lowe, Moonchild), and acoustic guitar of Juan A. Garica. Kajo’s lyrics were inspired by two performance art pieces by Marina Abramović and Ulay. “Lovers” was performed when the two traveled across the Great Wall of China in order to end their relationship. Fifteen years later, Ulay surprised Marina by sitting across from her during her piece “The Artist is Present.”
