While intermingling dashes of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and funk into a nicely bowed package has been the go-to modus operandi as of late, Brown’s NYEUSI always felt like it had a bit of an edge that made it feel a little more authentic and less forced.

Case in point: “FYFO,” which offers a sneak peek into Brown’s forthcoming debut album NYEUSI, which is slated to drop on Friday, June 29 via Biophillia. An abbreviation for “Fuck-Yeah-Freak-Out,” Brown flexes his full range of artistic genius playing all the instruments — from the lush synths and the heavy-hitting low end, accompanied by his signature drumming sound, “FYFO” acts as the perfect introduction to his multi-instrumental versatility.
