Video Premiere: “She Blows My Mind” Saunders Sermons at The Breeding Ground

The Breeding Ground is proud to bring you one such performance from Saunders Sermons, who graced the stage with an all-star band featuring Saunders’ sultry voice and explosive horn lines courtesy of Sermons, Maurice ‘Mo Betta’ Brown, and Chelsea Baratz. Holding it down in the rhythm section is none other than Henry Conerway III on drums, Stu Mahan on bass, and Basil Wajdowicz behind the keys.

As a two-time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and trombonist, Sermons is a world traveled, highly sought out artist who has toured with the greatest in the music industry. He’s toured and/or recorded with Roy Hargrove, P Diddy, Jay–Z, Maxwell, Fantasia, Mike Phillips, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band to name a few.

As a bandleader, Sermons released his own EP The Timeless Wanderer this last July. It is a fun, soulful, and thought-provoking masterwork in its own right, and which featured the original recording of “She Blows My Mind.”
